The California Welcome Center is part of a program authorized by the State of California Tourism Department. The California Welcome Center located in Yucca Valley provides an economic advantage to the entire Morongo Basin. Our Welcome Center has become a popular location for tourists to glean information about local events and activities. The Welcome Center is also a source of information for many of the 1.5 million yearly visitors to the Joshua Tree National Park. Our Center advertises attractions from both the Palm Springs and surrounding Lower Desert communities in addition to the Morongo Basin. We also attract visitors destined for the Marine Corps Base at 29 Palms, and near-by Indian owned and operated Casinos. Las Vegas and Laughlin Nevada, the Colorado River, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and many Arizona attractions including the Grand Canyon and other interesting locations are all described in brochures located within the Welcome Center.
